This two record live acoustic album was recorded between September 25 and October 14, 1980 at the Warfield Theater, San Francisco, and October 22 and 31, 1980 at Radio City Music Hall,
New York.
The album is out of print.
Part of the recording set-up for this album included three clusters of three mics, placed above the stage and 25 and 40 feet from the stage.
Many of the songs were edited down from their original concert times.
Dire Wolf and Deep Elem Blues are from October 11, 1980.
Jack-A-Roe is from October 10, 1980.
On The Road Again is from either October 22 or 28, 1980.
I was thinking the same exact thing! This is one of my favorite dead albums. I always keep a downloaded version of it on my phone for a night in the woods around the campfire, and I had no idea there
